After years of working with clients, I realized that a scoliosis diagnosis is not just a physical challenge, but an emotional one too. I also saw how it could lead to empowerment and growth. I believe knowledge is power, and when you understand how your body moves, you can take control of your life instead of letting a diagnosis control you.
In 2015, I opened my studio, focusing on clients with movement challenges, those looking to improve their well-being and those recovering from surgery. During COVID, I found an opportunity to expand my education. I pursued a Master's degree in Positive Psychology Coaching. It was during this program that I recognized the emotional aspects of scoliosis were often overlooked.
I wanted to change that. Nearing the end of my Master's Program, I realized I needed to understand the spine at a deeper level. I decided to pursue a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree. In June 2021, I graduated with my Master’s degree, then relocated to Georgia to attend Life University for my doctorate.
My mission is clear: to blend chiropractic care, movement, and psychology into a comprehensive approach to treating scoliosis. Through Scolilove, I aim to educate, empower, and create a safe space for those affected by scoliosis. It is a legacy that began with Alene and continues to inspire my work today.
From Pilates Instructor to Life Coach to Chiropractor, my journey has always been about more than just treating the body—it's about helping people live better lives with scoliosis. In honor of Alene, I created Scolilove and The Spinal Harmony program. This program represents my life's work and commitment to helping others manage scoliosis with strength, confidence, and emotional resilience.
My qualifications in movement and anatomy, including comprehensive Pilates certifications and Level 3 Franklin Method Education, uniquely allow me to provide a deep, well-rounded, holistic approach to scoliosis care for you or your loved ones.
Alene Love’s spirit lives on in this mission, and I will forever be grateful for the impact she had on my life.
My life changed forever when I met Alene!
I was teaching private sessions at a small studio and local gym, along with group mat classes and a senior living community center. I was often approached by people curious about Pilates and what it could do for them.
A woman named Alene Love approached and asked if I could help her build strength, but hesitated. "...even with my body the way it is?" She was concerned because of her congenital scoliosis. I reassured her that we could start small and explore what was possible together. This simple exchange would set me on a path that would forever change my life and all the Alenes that came to me after.
Personally, I was looking for a physical activity that would fit into my busy life as a mom while my kids were at school. Pilates quickly became my passion and soon I discovered a deep interest in understanding the human body and its movement. I realized I had a unique ability to break down complex movement patterns in a way that made sense to others and teaching Pilates became my joy.
But it was Alene's trust in me that ignited my journey into the world of scoliosis. Alene was small in stature - just 4'10"—but she was a giant in spirit. Despite facing numerous health challenges, her determination and trust in me sparked a deep curiosity about how I could help people like her. The lessons she taught me continue to inspire everything I do.
